I just submitted my little dark fantasy story. I had a lot of help in revising and bouncing ideas and I'd like to thank them as that took the time to read the story and made the effort to get me some feedback. I'm happy with the story. Hopefully the editor will be too. Write on.

So this is funny, and by funny I mean funny. An hour and a half after submitting my story, I had an idea, a simple one, a mere couple of sentences, that would double the umph of the thing. I went ahead and modified the draft. Maybe if they accept the story, I'll send them the revisions in case they like it better and want to do the updated version. Here's hoping so.

In the fastest rejection I've experienced since high school, I received a little email jot this morning stating that the publisher would pass on my story. Hopefully someone else will want it.

Ouch! That really makes you wonder. Did they even take time to read it? You can still submit it to Writers of the Future, or Fantasy and Science Fiction, or Realms of Fantasy, or whatever. Take it through the rounds.
Those fools. Well, as Ben mentioned, there are many other places to send it. I'm just looking forward to the double-umph version.
Fools, I tell you, that is the most ignorant thing I have ever heard. Have you seen Julia and Julie. Don't you dare stop submitting your work.
